Fall Fantasies!

Fall is here in Florida and it seems like a fantasy. This is weather you can wear those leggings and boots you have in storage. Opening the windows to let the cool breeze in during the day; cuddling up at night with hot chocolate and a good book. Fall and winter are my favorite seasons of the year, especially when the weather is like this; today it is 67°. Cooking pumpkin to make pumpkin pies, bread, etc. is also enjoyed more when the weather is fallish. This past Saturday I attended a wedding of a young woman who I met when my daughter was on a dance team. The young woman is now the owner of the dance team after my friend gave it to her as a gift. The wedding had a fall theme with rich brown bridesmaid dresses, groom and groomsmen, flower girls with brown bows and the bride was beautiful in white. The reception was lavished with fall centerpieces, flowers, bows and a gorgeous wedding cake trimmed in brown. A beautiful wedding and reception for a wonderful fall fantasy!

Shopping!

Shopping is something we all do. Some of us do it once a week, every two weeks, once a month or every other day. Most shopping is for necessity (groceries, gas, hygiene, clothes), all those things you need to exist today. Shopping for women and maybe some men can also be therapeutic. When you are feeling depressed or just a little blue; a new piece of clothing, handbag or shoes can go along way to help your piece of mind.

Since I was laid-off I have been trying to be more frugal, but shopping is still a pick-me-up I need. I have been surfing the internet and have found great deals online. Shopping from home is much more economical and you can find the best price. Why can't I have a little piece of the (shopping) pie! Part of my new business working from home is being an Amazon affiliate, so anytime you click on one of my Amazon links I earn a percentage of the sale.

In these trying economical times we are all spending a little less, as we are unsure of the future. We just need to be more careful of how we spend our money, because we are going to spend money and our economy depends on it. If you do more research you can find the best prices and deals. Shopping can be fun!

Going Green!

Over the years I have tried to do my best at recycling and limiting my use of paper products. I know I haven't done nearly enough and need to do more. My husband and I replaced all our light bulbs with the Compact Fluorescent Bulbs. Unplugging cords not in use, like cell phone chargers, can openers etc. as well as they do use electricity just being plugged in. I would also like to look into installing solar panels. Below is a link to getting information on solar panels that you might be interested in like me.
